Meds & Foods for Kids

Specific Need

Haiti's children need us.

A massive internal migration is taking place in Haiti as families flee the upheaval caused by gang attacks on their communities. Approximately 1.5 million people are displaced, including 750,000 children. More than 100,000 infants and toddlers are suffering from severe acute malnutrition.

You can help end the suffering by making a donation to Meds & Food for Kids.

Last year, we treated 71,000 children with Plumpy'Nut, the therapeutic food we make at our factory in Haiti. This year, the need is greater, and with your help we will save even more lives.

Mission

Meds & Food for Kids is dedicated to meeting the essential nutritional needs of malnourished children, pregnant and nursing mothers, and schoolchildren using Ready-to-Use Therapeutic and Supplemental Foods produced in our Cap-Haitien factory.

Profile

1.1 million children and mothers served since 2003

Meds & Food for Kids uses a unique, holistic approach to ending the cycle of poverty and hunger in Haiti. We treat malnourished children with therapeutic foods made at our factory in Cap-Haitien, and provide supplemental food for schoolchildren and mothers. Our Haitian operation is 100% locally led. In addition to producing nutrition products, we educate nurses and invest in local agriculture to build stronger food systems and communities.
